Funerals

A funeral marks the close of a human life on earth. It is the opportunity for friends and family to express their grief, to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping. These can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.

 

We will do all that we can to fulfil the wishes of the deceased and their families to provide the most meaningful service for this stage of the life journey. To this end services can be small quiet ceremonies to large gatherings with hymns or more modern music, prayers, poetry and visual displays of the deceased person’s life.

 

For those who do not wish to come to church we also conduct services at the Crematorium. These services again give the opportunity to use music, poetry and prayer to mark the end of a person’s life with us as they move to a life with God.
