Confirmations

Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which you affirm for yourself the faith into which you have been baptised and your intention to live a life of committed discipleship. This is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the bishop. The Church also asks God to give you power through the Holy Spirit to enable you to live in the way of Jesus.

Confirmation services are held annually and hosted by either one of our three Team churches or at the Cathedral in Liverpool.

Children from the age of 9, with parental consent, and adults are offered the opportunity to complete a course of lessons on the faith before making their decision as to whether they are ready for Confirmation.
